Made-to-measure kitchens, wardrobes, built-in furniture and office furniture

We make furniture for a single room or for a whole house. The survey, design, production and fitting are all down to us, and you deal with the same person throughout.

What we do, in four categories

Five points where ordering furniture usually goes wrong

We’re not describing any particular company. These are situations clients tell us about at the first meeting.

  1. Accountability

    How it often goes

A designer draws the plan, a factory makes the furniture, and a fitting crew found through a recommendation puts it in. When a front doesn’t fit, everyone points at someone else.

    How we work

One team carries out the survey, design, production and fitting. If something’s wrong, the workshop takes responsibility and puts it right.

  2. The quote

    How it often goes

A price per running metre looks good until trims, handles, lighting and the worktop get added to the bill.

    How we work

Our quote is built from the design and itemises everything: carcasses, fronts, hardware, lighting, worktop, delivery and fitting.

  3. Materials

    How it often goes

The quote says “hardware from a reputable brand” and “lacquered fronts”, with no names or specifications.

    How we work

We give you the manufacturer, the range and the colour. Hardware: Blum and Hettich. Boards: Egger and Kronospan.

  4. The timeframe

    How it often goes

A fitting date gets mentioned in conversation, then slips without warning.

    How we work

We put the fitting date in the contract. We keep you posted during production, and flag any risk of delay straight away.

  5. After fitting

    How it often goes

After handover, it’s hard to get anyone on the phone, and a door adjustment waits for weeks.

    How we work

After fitting, you call the same account manager. Your request goes to the people who made your furniture. Service response time: within 3 working days of your report.

Seven stages, from first conversation to service

For every stage we give a typical timeframe and what you get. Exact timings depend on the size of the job, so we confirm them before the contract is signed.

  1. Conversation

We talk by phone, online or at the workshop. We ask about the room, how you’ll use the furniture, your budget and timeframe. If you have a floor plan, photos or an architect’s design, send them before the call.

    Time
within 2 working days of your enquiry
    You get
a clear answer on whether the scope, budget and timeframe work together, and a proposed date for the site survey.
  2. Site survey

We measure the walls, verticals, angles and ceiling height on site, and check whether sockets, drains and ventilation suit the planned layout.

    Time
usually within 7 days of the first call
    You get
a list of any changes needed to the services, before your builder closes up the walls.
  3. 3D design

We prepare the furniture layout, visualisations and dimensioned drawings, and refine the design until it matches how you want to use the room. This is where you choose materials from samples.

    Time
    1–2 weeks
    You get
3D visualisations, dimensioned drawings, and a materials list with names and colours.
  4. Quote and contract

The quote itemises every part of the design, from carcasses to fitting. Once you accept it, we sign the contract. You pay a deposit when you sign the contract and the balance after fitting.

    Time
within 5 working days of design approval
    You get
a contract with the price, the fitting date and the payment schedule.
  5. Production

We prepare production drawings, cut the boards, edge-band them and lacquer the fronts. Before dispatch, we measure the parts and look at the fronts side by side under one light to catch any colour differences.

Time from signing the contract to fitting
    6–10 weeks
    You get
updates on progress and confirmation of the fitting date.
  6. Fitting

The fitters know the drawings before they arrive. We protect the floors, fit the furniture, adjust the fronts and clean up. Stone and sintered-stone worktops are templated after the cabinets are in, so a kitchen usually needs two visits.

    Time
1–3 days, depending on the scope
    You get
a handover report and a care guide for the materials in your order.
  7. Service

Furniture comes with a 5-year warranty and hardware with a 10-year warranty. Board and wood move a little in the first few months, so hinges sometimes need adjusting. You report that to your account manager, not to a call centre.

    Response time
within 3 working days of your report
    You get
a warranty card listing the hardware and materials, so we can match the same parts years later.

Materials and hardware go into your quote by name

Most fronts and worktops we make use one of these six materials. Carcasses and interior fittings also appear in the quote with a named manufacturer and range.

Close-up of oak veneer with a distinct grain pattern and a matt oil finish

Oak veneer

A thin layer of real oak bonded to a board core. Fronts cut from a single veneer flitch keep a continuous grain pattern, so a whole wall of cabinets can look like it came from one tree.

Works well for
kitchen and wardrobe fronts, living-room built-ins, desktops.
Watch out for
Oak darkens in sunlight and takes on a honey tone. An oiled finish needs refreshing from time to time; a lacquered one needs less upkeep.
Corner of a lacquered front in sage green with a soft sheen

Satin lacquer

MDF fronts spray-painted in several coats. You choose the colour from the RAL or NCS range; a satin finish shows fingerprints less than a gloss one.

Works well for
kitchens, wardrobes and built-ins finished to match a wall colour.
Watch out for
A hard knock on an edge can chip the lacquer. A damaged front can be resprayed back at the workshop.
Graphite, deep matt Fenix NTM surface with the board edge visible

Fenix NTM

A matt laminate from an Italian manufacturer, velvety to the touch. It doesn’t show fingerprints, and light micro-scratches disappear with gentle heat.

Works well for
kitchen fronts, desk and table tops, bathroom furniture.
Watch out for
Colours are limited to the manufacturer’s range. A deep scratch can’t be removed with heat.
Sintered stone worktop with pale veining and a bevelled edge

Sintered stone

A mineral slab fired at very high temperature. A hot pan won’t damage it, and wine or lemon juice won’t soak into the surface.

Works well for
kitchen worktops, bathroom worktops, island cladding.
Watch out for
The edge is vulnerable to impact, so we match the edge profile to where it sits in the kitchen. Don’t cut directly on it: it blunts knives.
Marble slab with grey veining and a honed edge

Natural stone

Granite, quartzite or marble. Every slab has its own pattern, so before cutting you can view the actual piece and choose which section goes on the island.

Works well for
kitchen worktops, washbasin tops, window sills, island cladding.
Watch out for
Marble dulls on contact with acids such as vinegar or lemon juice. Natural stone needs periodic sealing.
Display cabinet door in reeded glass with blurred crockery behind it

Reeded glass

Glass with vertical ribbing that blurs whatever sits behind it. You still see light and colour, just not every item on the shelf.

Works well for
kitchen display cabinets, wardrobe and dressing-room doors, office partitions.
Watch out for
We use toughened or laminated glass for doors and larger panes. The grooves need an occasional wipe with a soft brush.
Boards for carcasses
Egger and Kronospan
Hinges, runners and front lift systems
Blum and Hettich

For drawer runners we specify the range and load rating; for hinges, the type of soft-close. That way you can buy the same part years later instead of hunting for a substitute that doesn’t fit the existing holes.

Frequently asked questions about ordering

How much does made-to-measure furniture cost?

The price depends on the size of the installation, the front and worktop material, the number of drawers, and the interior fittings. A drawer costs more than a shelf, and a lacquered front more than a laminated one. We give an indicative range after the first conversation, and an exact figure once the design is done. We cover what drives the price in our cost article.

How long does a project take?

It usually takes 6–10 weeks from signing the contract to fitting. Before that come the survey and design, and we give their timings under the process stages above. The fitting date goes into the contract.

How do the deposit and payments work?

You pay a deposit when you sign the contract and the balance after fitting. The payment schedule is part of the contract, so you know it before signing. If the scope doesn’t change, we don’t ask for extra payments during production.

Can I change anything during the project?

Changes at no extra cost are possible until the production drawings are approved. After that, a part may already be cut or lacquered, so a change means making it again from scratch. We confirm every change in writing, with the new price and timeframe.

What warranty do I get?

Furniture comes with a 5-year warranty and hardware with a 10-year warranty. The warranty covers material and workmanship defects. It doesn’t cover mechanical damage, water damage, or the effects of care that doesn’t follow the instructions you receive at handover.

Do you service furniture after the warranty ends?

Yes, we take requests after the warranty the same way as during it. Repairs after the warranty are charged according to our price list, and we give you the cost before the visit. The warranty card records the manufacturers and ranges of the hardware, so we can match the same parts years later.

Do you fit furniture across Poland?

Yes. Our own team carries out the survey and fitting, wherever you are. Travel outside the Wielkopolska region is priced separately and listed in the quote.

Who buys the appliances?

You can buy the appliances yourself, and we’ll design the units around the exact models. We need the model numbers before we draw up the production drawings, since every manufacturer specifies different housing dimensions and ventilation gaps. If you prefer, we can order the appliances for you from the list in the design.

Will you build furniture to my architect’s design?

Yes. We check the design technically, prepare shop drawings and send them to the architect for approval. If something needs changing, for example because a long shelf would sag, we suggest an alternative and wait for a decision. You can read more about how we work with architects.

How do I look after made-to-measure furniture?

Wipe lacquered and Fenix NTM fronts with a soft, damp cloth and a mild liquid, never an abrasive cream or scouring pad. Refresh an oiled veneer with oil once the surface starts to look dull. You get care instructions for the materials in your order at handover.

Is the survey or design chargeable?

We deduct the survey and design fees from the order price. We explain the terms before booking the survey, so the cost doesn’t come as a surprise.

When should I order furniture if renovation work is under way?

Book the first conversation before plastering and screeding, so socket, drain and lighting positions can be agreed. We take the final survey once the walls are finished and the floor is down, or once the floor build-up thickness is known. We schedule fitting after painting.

A floor plan and a few photos are enough for a first conversation

Tell us what you’d like to order, and we’ll prepare the right questions for the survey. The quote form takes three short steps.
