Privacy policy

General information

This website is a concept project for a portfolio. MIARA is a fictional company, and the text below shows what a privacy policy would look like for a real deployment.

This policy sets out what data MIARA sp. z o.o. collects through the forms on this website, why we process it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It covers the contact form, the quote form, the architects’ form, signing up for the planning guide, and the job application form.

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is MIARA sp. z o.o., ul. Przykładowa 1, 60-000 Poznań, Poland, Tax ID (NIP) 0000000000, business registry number (REGON) 000000000, National Court Register number (KRS) 0000000000. For anything to do with your personal data, you can contact us at kontakt@miara-meble.pl, or in writing at the registered address above.

Contact form

We process the data from the form (full name, email, phone, message) to reply to your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the form.

Quote form

We process the data from the quote form (full name, email, phone, project description, any files you send: floor plans and photos) to prepare a quote and get in touch about your project. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). If our conversations lead to a contract, further processing of your data to carry out the order takes place under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

Architects’ form

We process the data from the enquiry form (full name, email, phone, the name of your practice, and the content of your enquiry) to reply to your enquiry and to get in touch about working together on a specific project. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

We process the name and email address you give when signing up for the guide, to send you the PDF. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without this consent we can’t send you the guide, since we’d have no basis to process even the email address needed to deliver it.

If you also tick the marketing consent, we process your email address to send you information about new guides, articles and the workshop’s offer as well. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), together with the rules on providing services electronically and on marketing communications. This consent is independent of the consent to receive the guide itself, and you can withdraw it separately, with no effect on whether you keep access to the file you’ve already downloaded.

Application form: the recruitment you’re applying for

We process the data from the application form and your CV (full name, contact details, education, employment history and any other information you choose to include) to carry out recruitment for the position you’re applying for. For the data required by employment law, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, together with Article 22¹ of the Polish Labour Code (Kodeks pracy), and the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. If your CV or the form includes information beyond that scope, for example a portfolio link or a photo, the basis for processing it is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given simply by submitting it.

If you consent to being considered for future recruitment, we keep your data after the current recruitment ends too, so we can contact you about other suitable positions later on. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3. Who we share data with

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with other companies for marketing purposes. We only pass it to parties that help us run the website and handle correspondence, under data processing agreements (Article 28 GDPR):

  • our hosting provider, whose servers run the website and through whom form data passes [provider name to be added before publication];
  • our email provider, through which we receive and store messages from the forms [provider name to be added before publication];
  • other providers of technical services necessary to run the website and email, to the extent needed to deliver those services.

For recruitment, your data may also reach the person on our team conducting the interview. We don’t share candidate data with external parties beyond the situations described in this chapter.

4. How long we keep data

  • Contact, quote, architects’ enquiry. We keep the data for 12 months from the last exchange of messages, unless a contract is signed in that time. In that case, we keep data linked to the contract for as long as it runs, plus the period required by tax and accounting law.
  • Guide, mandatory consent. If you don’t also tick the marketing consent, we keep your name and email address for 30 days from when the file is sent, and then delete them.
  • Guide, marketing consent. We keep data processed on this basis until you withdraw your consent.
  • The recruitment you’re applying for. We keep the data from your application and CV for the duration of that recruitment process, and for 3 months afterwards, in case of questions or claims relating to it.
  • Future recruitment (optional consent). We keep the data for 12 months from when you send your application, or until you withdraw consent, whichever happens first.

5. Your rights

In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have the right to:

  • access your data and get information about how it’s processed;
  • have your data corrected, if it’s inaccurate or incomplete;
  • have your data erased, in the situations provided for under GDPR;
  • restrict processing, in the situations provided for under GDPR;
  • receive, in a commonly used format, the data we process on the basis of consent or a contract, so you can transfer it elsewhere;
  • object to processing, in the situations provided for under GDPR;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it;
  • lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, if you believe our processing breaches data protection law.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at kontakt@miara-meble.pl. We reply without undue delay, and within a month of receiving your request at the latest.

6. Cookies

When you open the site, a banner lets you decide on two categories of cookies:

  • Necessary. Let core site features work, for example remembering which step of the multi-step quote form you’re currently on. These are always on and don’t require consent under the rules on providing services electronically.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics 4 would count visits to the site. It only loads once you consent, following Google Consent Mode v2: until you decide, we send it a signal denying consent to store analytics and advertising data.

We store your choice in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), together with the date and the banner version, rather than in a separate cookie. You can change your decision at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer.

In this demo version, analytics isn’t connected to any real account: even if you consent to the analytics category, no Google script loads and the site sends no request to Google. In a real deployment, this chapter would be updated with the name and contact details of the Google Analytics operator.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add a new form, change our hosting or email provider, or when data protection law changes. You’ll always find the current version on this page.
